Prime eatery open in Cape Town
The latest addition to Bree Street is this breezy spot which looks at providing some of the most ‘wholesome’ ingredients around. You’ll need to walk through Clarke’s restaurant to get to the courtyard where this quaint spot is located.
The interior is designed with meticulous attention to creating a calming energy when patrons sit down. The soft colours of white and brown a rustic and friendly vibe, which make it family-friendly, as well as a perfect spot for friends to meet over a healthy meal.
One of our favourite dishes is the Rice and Eggs, which is served with kimchi and brown rice with warm mushrooms, radishes, crispy kale (we love this!) sesame seeds and a poached egg. The combination of flavours are not only delicious but they are healthy and perfect for anyone looking to have a balanced meal.
Serving fresh tartines, salads and yummy baked goods, this is the ideal spot to grab a takeaway for on-the-go business people. Being situated behind Clarke’s restaurant, they’ve incorporated some classic Clarke’s dishes onto the menu.

We love the tartines along with the baked goods - always a favourite!
Tip: You can order a fabulous Clarke’s drink at Wholesome too (The bloody mary is always divine!).
Note: Only street parking available
Opening Times: Monday: 7am - 5pm; Tuesday - Friday: 7am - 4pm; Saturday: 8am - 4pm; Sundays; 8am - 3pm
