Awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2016 and the award for the Best Scenic Restaurant (Luxury Setting) in South Africa at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2016, De Grendel offers the best views paired with premium wines and delectable seasonal dishes a mere 15 minutes from the city centre.

Picture yourself enjoying a seasonal lunch conceptualised and made by talented chef Ian Bergh, who flawlessly combines international and local flavours, enjoyed with delicious, quality wine... all perfectly set against the backdrop of a historic winery extending over 220 hectares of the fynbos-filled slopes of Tygerberg Hills. Now imagine enjoying all of this at a special price, because that is exactly what is happening from Tuesday to Thursday until mid-August.

De Grendel offers some of the best views of Cape Town from the north. “The main appeal here is the fantastic view,” asserts Sir De Villiers Graaff, the fourth generation in the famed local Graaff family to dwell on De Grendel soil. “On a clear day, you can see all the way from Table Bay to False Bay, and sometimes even on to Cape Point.” The glass-panelled establishment optimises their best feature (the view!) by offering a light, airy space decorated with art and photography, finished off with the blue and white, Delft-inspired, crockery that completes the picture of intimate and elegant dining.

De Grendel Restaurant is offering a selection of their favourite winter meals at an unbeatable price until the end of August 2017. Seasonal and fresh, De Grendel’s dishes are determined by the produce available, while the creativity of Bergh and his team ensure that the menu remains exciting and changes regularly.
