Swing into the Summer of Champions Season with World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas Race Day at Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday, 3 December 2016.

This prestigious fillies’ race is keeping the stakes high at R1 million. Popular with both the racing fraternity and the general public, the race has managed to effortlessly combine a high-quality competition with an all-round great day out at the track. This year’s event will be sponsored by World Sports Betting and the World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas will form the alternate first leg of the SA Triple Tiara, as it did last year.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2016 WORLD SPORTS BETTING GRADE ONE CAPE FILLIES GUINEAS RACE DAY

FINE FILLIES: One of the first must-see races of the season, the Cape Fillies Guineas sees grade one three-year-old fillies take to the track to compete in nine races during the day, with the main race offering a R1 million stake. Horse owners, racing enthusiasts are in for a treat when these thoroughbred race horses strut their stuff in a grand spectacle of speed, skill and strength. There will also be a fabulous auction taking place with a beautiful horse from Klawervlei Stud to be sold.

FREE FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN: Once again, the event offers class and relaxing entertainment. Attendees can indulge in their own picnics at the public village, and purchase drinks from the on-site bar in the shady setting.  Additionally, there’ll be countless special surprises on the day, including a chance to win a share of R15 000. Ladies Day will also be taking place at the marquee on the ground floor of the Kenilworth Racecourse for the fourth year running and all proceeds will go towards Lymphoma SA in aid of their fight against the illness.

THE SOMERSET ROOM: Head to the Somerset Room for a top-class experience. Located on the third floor of Kenilworth Racecourse, this exclusive area boasts panoramic views of the expansive arena as well as prime spots to see the fillies and their jockeys cross the winning post. Aside from the first-rate vantage points, the area offers patrons bubbles and a buffet lunch and there’s also an on-site cash bar available.
