Ideal for kids, grown-up kids and anyone with a passion for good music and chilled vibes, the Farmhouse Rocks summer concerts return for summer of 2016 with Hot Water and The Concrete Lions and The Rudimentals and friends. Hosted by the gorgeous Cape Farmhouse in Scarborough, the family-friendly affair promises top acts, exceptional entertainment and a rocking good time for all.
Hot Water has been a beloved Cape Town band for as long as I can remember. I am not sure you’ve had the full Mother City experience without listening to their up-beat jams. Their hits include Tribal Man, Down South and Lekker Sakkie. Performing with them on Saturday, 3 December 2016 is Ben Dey and The Concrete Lions. They specialise in afro-indie pop-rock and were all born (and raised) in the Mother City! Have a look at the full event page for this lekker show!
The Rudimentals really don’t need an introduction. They are, without a doubt, Cape Town’s best reggae, drum and bass, dubstep fusion band. These legends are famous for Sound Boy Killa, Bubbling and Rudeboy Styles.
Aside from the live music, there’ll also be a selection of wine and beer on offer, and the on-site restaurant has a wonderful selection of eats guaranteed to suit all tastes. Welcoming summer with sensational sounds and scenery, the Cape Farmhouse is an idyllic rural retreat secreted in the mountains, which provide the perfect location for a fun afternoon out.
