Bouchon in Hout Street

Stunning Wine Bar and Bistro in the Mother City

Located in the heart of the city centre, this stunning winery has become a hotspot for Capetonians who love flavoursome dishes, and are curious about the fabulous world of wine. This charming venue attracts from the most sophisticated wine-pallets to those, like us, just want a delicious glass of wine after work.

The venture is headed by renowned winemaker Christophe Durand and restaurateur Faisal Khakoo. The pair wanted to give the Mother City a venue for trendy food and fabulous wines. The enchanting setting is perfect for a calming after work or weekend afternoon and evening.

So, the wine list… wow! We love that it  incorporates both local and international gems and has a weekly “Travel Through Your Glass” selection which gives customers the opportunity to discover wines from around the world by the glass. Of course the wine is complimented by a well constructed menu that boasts seasonal simple and delicious tapas, mains, and scrumptious desserts.

We love the artichoke and pea risotto with truffle oil
Tip: Take a group of friends with if you feel like a night of wine tasting- especially after work.
Note: This is the best time to catch that Uber ride so you can enjoy the selection of wines.

Opening Times: Monday - Friday: 5pm - 11pm
95 Hout Street | City Centre | +27(0)21 422 0695
