There are new hotels opening up or under construction all over South Africa. CapeTownMagazine.com has established an overview of the new luxury hotels opening soon or which have recently opened in and around the Mother City.

• One&Only, new 6 star luxury hotel in the V&A Waterfront is due to be complete by October 2009.
• Coral International Cape Town is a 5 star hotel in Bo-Kaap. It will be the first dry hotel in Cape Town. Opening end of 2009.
• Taj Palace 5 star Hotel situated in Cape Town's inner city will be opening at the end of 2009.
• 5 Star 15 on Orange is located in the cultural hub of Cape Town and is set to open late 2009.
• Oscar Pearse hotel situated next to the Cape Town Tourism head quarters is a 5 star establishment opening late 2009.
• The Cape Royale Hotel, a 5 star hotel found in the heart of Cape Town’s trendy Green Point. Official opening end 2008.
• Gondwana Game Reserve is a first ‘living on a game reserve’ concept in the Cape opening on 1 November 2008.
• Asara Wine Estate and Hotel opened its doors on the 1st of May 2008. The new 5 star luxury hotel is found in Stellenbosch winelands.
• Holiday Inn Express is a 3 star budget hotel franchise, the first in Cape Town opened its doors in March 2008.
• The Westin Grand Cape Town Arabella Quays 5 star hotel is situated at the entrance to the historic V&A Waterfront. The hotel was renamed in November 2007.
• Protea Hotel Colosseum, 4 star hotel located in Century City opened in November 2007.
• Mandela Rhodes Place opened as a 5 star inner city hotel in November 2006.
• The Adderley Hotel is a 4 star hotel found in Cape Town's city center opened its doors on 1 November 2006.
• Protea Hotel North Wharf 4 star hotel has been open since early 2006.
• The Island Club Hotel, 4 star luxury hotel in Century City opened its doors in December 2004.
