Situated around the north end of Century City, Intaka Island is a 16 hectare multi-purpose nature area, habitat to more than 180 species of indigenous plants and 125 bird species.
Self-guided trails allow you to view the natural and educational assets of the island.
Lapa and picnic facilities are available. Bordering Century City and the Canal Walk Shopping Centre (also with the MTN Sciencentre), Intaka makes a perfect after/before shopping nature stroll.
Directions from Cape Town: Take N1 North, take the Century City off-ramp into Century Boulevard, follow this north until the traffic circle, turn left at circle and follow gravel road to Intaka Island Parking Area.
