Nuy Valley Feast in Worcester

Enjoy fine wines, fabulous fare and family fun at this four-venue festival

Loosen your belts and get your fat pants on because it’s time for the annual Nuy Valley Feast, where visitors can delight in a number of award-winning wines, fine country food and entertainment on Saturday, 21 May 2016.

The weekend festivities celebrate the region’s yearly harvest, and the young, old, energetic and laid-back are invited to partake in activities hosted by four Nuy Valley venues – Leipzig Country House, Nuy Winery, Willow Creek Olive Estate and Conradie Family Vineyards – all of which are situated halfway between Worcester and Robertson, along the famed Route 62 (and about an hour and a half’s drive away from Cape Town).

The fiesta kicks off with 5- and 10-km fun runs and trail walks, probably to prepare attendees for the copious amounts of eating and drinking on the cards for the rest of the day (there will be showers, snacks and beverages available for runners).

Visitors who just want to take it easy can opt for a Greek food demonstration; pig-out on German eats, olives and traditional boerekos (farmer’s food); and possibly best of all, go wild with bottomless – that’s right, bottomless – wine at Conradie Family Vineyards.

The full-bellied can shake the indulgences away with live musical entertainment, and kids will be kept occupied all day long with plenty of fun activities.
