Fight Night: Mayweather Vs. McGregor Live at Madison Avenue

Conor McGregor, aka ‘The Notorious’, a professional Irish boxer with roots as a World Champion in mixed martial arts, will be facing US World Champion boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather Jr. on Saturday, 26 August 2017 in the US – although this does mean that fight will actually be live in South Africa early on Sunday – prepare for a late night (or an early morning! The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will be abuzz when Mayweather puts his 49-0 record on the line. Madison Avenue, a swanky nightclub in Cape Town CBD, will be streaming the match, live, for sports lovers to enjoy.

Take advantage of the Budweiser beer specials being offered on the night – R20 gets you a bottle – and you can sip on a cold one as you watch the two industry greats clash fists. Before the match starts, feel free to take full advantage of one of the nightclub’s two dancefloors and shake it to some house music in the slick and sexy setting. As well as having six bars, Madison Avenue has a VIP area and a brilliant resident DJ, making it a really great place to party in the Mother City. In other words, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to live it up in a private booth, show off your moves or relax with a beer in hand this spot is the one for you.

Because of the time difference, the match build-up will start at 3am local time, on Sunday, 27 August 2017, but the boxers only enter the ring at a little while after 5am local time. Come down and see the much-anticipated fight between two talented athletes; it’s sure to be a real nail-biter!

Please note that dress code applies and it is smart/casual – so leave those slops, vests, shorts and takkies in the house!

Entry costs R60/p but ladies will get in free before 10pm. Make sure you arrive before 1am when the match starts! No ladies under 19 years old will be granted access and no gents under 20 will be allowed entry into the club; don’t forget your ID!
