Sundays are meant for feasting with the family so why should Father’s Day be any different? Thali Thali Game Lodge is inviting the entire family to celebrate dad’s special day by tucking into a buffet-style meal. For starters, a hearty vegetable soup will be served and following closely after will be the main course, boasting meaty dishes such as chargrilled sirloin or a creamy chicken pie accompanied by sweet potatoes and savory rice. A choice of Greek or Curry Wheat salad is also available, and there will be freshly baked farm bread to nibble on. However, the feast doesn’t end there – dessert will feature a Pear Malva Pudding served with custard. This Father’s Day buffet is the perfect excuse to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and instead, enjoy the serenity of nature with dad.

Father’s Day Lunch at HQ
Spend a memorable lunch with your dad on 18 June 2017. We can’t think of a better way to thank our dad than with a steak and a beer. Father’s Day at Benguela on Main: Smoke & Ash
This Father’s Day, Benguela on Main has something very special up their sleeve. The restaurant is offering its guests a fine dining experience like no other. Their Father’s Day four-course set menu is turning the conventional ‘braai,’ into a wondrous four-course meal, each dish created with exquisitely to give your father the scrumptious feast he deserves. So, don your best dress and indulge your dad (and yourself) at Benguela, on Main because your dad (and you) deserves it.

Father's Day at Spier’s Eight Restaurant
Celebrating your pops is easy if you go to Spier’s incredible Eight Restaurant on Sunday, 18 June 2017 from 12pm. The acclaimed farm-to-table eatery is offering a harvest table with a range of dishes which are prepared meticulously with fresh, seasonal and home-grown ingredients. Interestingly you can expect the greens and veggies to be sourced from the Werf food garden where they are grown without any pesticides, chemical fertilizers or article chemicals. The fillet, sirloin and sausages (all dads’ favourites we are sure) come from grass-fed cattle reared by Farmer Angus on Spier’s Pastures. Here are some appetite-teasers for you; the cold buffet offers a range of choices from a selection of wood-fired bread and Farmhouse pâté to roasted butternut and biltong salad and some cold roasted rump. The hot buffet will be serving exquisite dishes including BBQ pork ribs, beef neck and ale pie to braised chicken with red wine and double smoked bacon. Oh and let’s not forget the creamy potato bake and homemade gnocchi with mushroom, plusour favourite part - dessert; tuck into an organic chocolate cremeux tart, chocolate soil and poached baby pear of course paired with a smooth Spier Wine.

The Olive Press barn at Boschendal
You got yourself an outdoor-loving dad then treat him to the ultimate countryside-lovers location at The Olive Press Barn at Boschendal Wine Estate. Treat your old man to a delicious platter filled with delectable delicacies such as the lamb dish which is carved from an open-fire pit. Enjoy some live entertainment (which starts at 12pm) while you nibble - which is sure to get that special man smiling! The Olive Press has awe-inspiring floor-to-glass windows which overlook the dreamlike scenery of Boschendal Wine Estate. Bring you blankets and chairs and soak up the sun! Baskets can be collected at 12pm, and don’t fret if it rains because the indoor venue has you covered - literally.
If your pops is a bit of a foodie then treat him to the incomparable Werf Restaurant which will be offering an amazing three-course farm-style menu. Seating starts at 12pm and the Father's Day special costs R450 per person.
If dad wants to try something different take him for a stroll to the historic Rhone Homestead where there will be a traditional Cape buffet lunch will be served at 12pm.
Cost: R495 for a basket for two, R260 for a basket for one and kids under 12 can enjoy a basket for R115 at The Olive Press Barn. It will cost you R450 to dine at the Werf Restaurant per person. Dining at the Rhone Homestead expect the price to be R295 per adult and R145 for children under 10 years old.

Father's Day Lunch at The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa
This five-star hotel will be hosting an incredible Sunday buffet to celebrate the wonders that are fathers. Eager dads can tuck into a heart and tummy-warming meal at the hotel’s Atlantic Marquee and Azure restaurant, starting at 1pm. Sponsored by Devil’s Peak Brewery, dads are invited to a complimentary beer tasting which will accompany your yummy lunch.
If you’re gagga about craft beer then the Craft Beer and Canape Special is for you. Craft beer continues to grow in popularity and the dads will LOVE it for Father’s Day. The special includes five beers, paired with five different canapes. Normally available daily between 11am and 6pm, at R225 per person.

Spend Father's day treating yourself and your father-dear to a fabulously delicious meal. Che Carolize will be serving either a two-course meal or a three-course meal preceded, of course, with servings of fresh bread, biltong and Droewors and ending with sweet petit fours.
