If you’re a hardcore rocker with a penchant for the blues, then you’re in for a treat. The Big Blues Meets Rock Festival sounds off at Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville, on Saturday, 9 April 2016. Some of South Africa’s top blues and rock bands will take to the stage to electrify your ears.
An incredible line-up consisting of nine bands will perform for over nine hours while you sing, dance, laugh and prance to their sublime music. Blues legend, Dan Patlansky will be launching his brand new album INTRO-VERTIGO at the show, so don’t miss the opportunity to see one of Total Guitar magazine’s official ‘Top Ten Best Rock Guitarists in the World’ live in action at this concert. Other festival highlights include Gerald Clark Trio, The Blues Broers and Mark Haze.
While the superb music soothes your soul, you can tuck into tasty treats from an array of food stalls, or enjoy a variety of alternative entertainment suitable for the whole family. If this isn’t enough to convince you to grab tickets, you could stand a chance of winning the massive lucky draw that’s valued at around R24 000. A Fender Stratocaster, a cash prize and a Paul Bothner music voucher are waiting for one incredibly lucky ticket holder. Lucky draw tickets can be collected at the gate on presentation of your Computicket, but additional lucky draw tickets can be purchased for R20p/p at the festival.
