So Happy Carnival in Hout Bay

Forget being an adult for a day and let your inner child loose

For the first time in South Africa, a themed carnival for adults is touching down in the Mother City, so get excited, dress up and come play like you used to when you were a kid. The So Happy Carnival gets underway on Saturday, 9 April 2016 at the Riverside Estates Guest House in Hout Bay.

“What makes this carnival unique?” you may ask. Everyone will be a part of the creative extravaganza, not just the performers. Each attendee can live out their childhood fantasies in a playful environment while participating in the merry festivities. Dance, sing, eat and drink to your heart’s content – you will be wearing a beaming grin from the moment you enter the carnival.

In true carnival style, there will be quirky stalls with exotic challenges for you to try, whimsically dressed performers twirling in a kaleidoscopic display of dance and sound, not to mention the food and drinks galore to keep you sustained and hydrated. On top of all this vibrant entertainment, a top selection of DJs (to be announced soon) will be taking to the decks to keep your toes tapping and feet moving.

All of these extravagant displays and amusing activities are for a great cause too. So Happy Carnival works in partnership with two beneficiaries; The Smile Foundation (whose aim is to bring the smiles back to children with facial conditions) and Generosity Water (whose purpose is to help alleviate those affected by the water crisis). So while you frolic like a kid in a candy store, you can know that you are also helping others in need.
