The second international team to clash with the Proteas this year will be our rivals from Down Under. Playing in a series of three T20 matches around the country, the two behemoths will bring fast-paced cricket action to the Mother City when they step up to the crease at PPC Newlands on Wednesday, 9 March 2016.
According to the latest ICC International T20 rankings, Australia are the third best team in the world for the short format game, whilst South Africa trails by two places in fifth. This difference could give Australia the slight advantage they need to scoop the win, but the home crowd support and field may tip the odds in the Proteas’ favour.
Let’s get behind our boys and light up Newlands with Protea fire; don your green and gold shirts and gather your mates for an evening of T20 action between two world-class teams.
TICKETS TO THE 2016 SOUTH AFRICA VS. AUSTRALIA T20 CRICKET MATCH IN CAPE TOWN
Tickets to the three T20 games can be purchased online at Viagogo.co.za and costs for each game vary. Viagogo is the world’s largest source of live sport, music and entertainment tickets. The fact that it is a marketplace means that ticket prices are determined at the seller’s discretion so prices may vary. The site often has tickets available to events that are popular and/or sold out, so it’s worth checking to see what they have available.
Prices for the T20 match against Australia in Cape Town range from R350p/p to R500p/p.
