This distinguished experience will put 60 of the finest award-winning wine producers from Italy under one roof, showcasing over 250 fine wines from the Mediterranean for guests to sip and sample. Wine master classes will also be conducted throughout the afternoon that will be educational and offer insight into the global viticulture industry.

On top of the quality reds and whites at the event, attendees can look forward to tasting some lip-smacking Tuscan cuisine from some of Cape Town’s finest restaurants, chefs and cooking schools. The delicious fare will be lovingly prepared to perfectly complement the smorgasbord of Italian vino on offer, so prepare yourself for a true taste sensation.

The Top Italian Wines Road Show will be making its way to eleven destinations across the globe. Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, USA, Cuba, Brazil, Dubai and of course, South Africa have all been selected by Gambero Rosso to experience the classy one-day tasting event. Cape Town was an obvious choice due to our well-established wine industry that has been thriving since the first wine was produced in 1659, as well as our deep-seated knowledge and understanding of wines.

Gambero Rosso will be travelling through the Cape Winelands while they are here, stopping at various wine estates to sample some of our local produce and report back to millions of Italian viewers via their extensive media channels that include magazines, guides, books, television channels and websites.

The tasting will take place from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. The master classes start at 1:30pm, 3:30pm and 6pm, and run for one hour and fifteen minutes each.
