Cape Town Festival of Beer returns to the city

South Africa’s largest festival of beer is back and this year’s celebrations will be even bigger and better! The three day beer festival celebrates all things beer, with world class brewers, local micro breweries, awesome local entertainment, great food and activities. Certainly one of the worthwhile events in Cape Town in November if you enjoy water, yeast, malt and hops.

Whether you love the artisan beers from South Africa or the most popular beers from the big brewers, the Cape Town Festival of Beer will get you thirsty this week.

Brewers from every corner of the globe and from all over South Africa will be taking part. Some of this year’s confirmed breweries include; Camelthorn, Darling, Bavaria, Corona, Carling Black Label, Napier, Jack Black, Paulaner, Mitchells, Castle, Fosters, Erdinger, Liefmans, Oettinger, Cobra, Tiger, Singha, Duvel, Maredsous, Valentines and many more.

The Festival of Beer event will run on the last weekend of November in Cape Town at the Hamilton’s Rugby club in Green Point.

The festival calendar will include; beer tastings, beer sales, lucky draws, brewing demos and competition, kiddies entertainment area, food stalls,  a braaing competition, a Springbok test screening , top live entertainment and much more.

Public tickets are on sale for: Day pass R60p/p, 2 Days R100p/p, 3 days R120p/p.

Other packages for the beer fest include:

  • The Kings Table:  Entrance and table for 10 people plus an individual draught tap per table with a 30 liter keg branded mugs for all 10 people and a special personal fraulein service. All for only R2500.
  • Corporate packages: Entrance over all 3 days of the beer festival, 10 beer vouchers, beer tastings, designated table with allocated seating, voucher for a meal, event shirt and beer mug. All for only  R500 per person.
  • VIP tickets:  Access for all 3 days, branded mug and cap, 6 SAB and 4 exhibition beer vouchers and a voucher for a meal. Also R500 per person.

The gates for the beer extravaganza open at 12:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
