Tight Ass you say? By that would you mean a frugal donkey? Or a very special ass called Nellie, in fact? If you’re at all familiar with the history of Camps Bay’s oldest pub, you’ll know that Nellie used to be stabled at Dizzys, and was one of the area’s most beloved residents – albeit not a human one.
In honour of the dinky donkey, Dizzys hosts a famed Karaoke night called Tight Ass Tuesdays, where you can ‘bray’ the night away with some super specials to lubricate your lungs. The good news is that CapeTownMagazine.com readers get a sneaky 50% off the entry cost – just quote the secret password ‘be nice or go home’ and you’re in! You’re all nice, so there’s no need to go home.

You also get a coupon for a FREE shooter and access to other drinks specials applicable to Dizzys’ Beer Pong and DJ Sunday – another festive fiesta brought to you by your home-away-from-home haunt. Tight Ass Tuesdays start at 9pm but it’s best to get there early to get your name on the list. After your sweet serenades are finished, the DJ hits the deck, so you can get dizzy (we had to) on the dance floor until doors shut at 4am – although, if the party ends earlier, so does Dizzys.
Considered the Mother City’s preeminent spot for a good time, Dizzys won’t disappoint so grab your friends and make your Tuesday an amuse-day with plenty of laughs and old-fashioned sing-alongs. After all, there’s nothing better than watching your friends make an ass of themselves while you take an Insta-story of it so they never live it down.

ENTRY TO THE 2017 DIZZYS TIGHT ASS TUESDAYS KARAOKE EVENTS
Tight Ass is ideal for tight asses who don’t want to blow their bank balances. The smashing sing-song has a R40 at-the-door entry fee… but wait! You’re a CapeTownMagazine.com reader. That means you get 50% off the entry fee if you use the secret password, ‘be nice or go home’, and you get a drinks coupon too for another Dizzys’ event.
The event begins at 9pm; for more information email info@dizzys.co.za or phone +27 (0)21 438 2686.
