Touches of hygge like Swedish hot chocolate, rain showers
Last updated: Tuesday, 5 August 2025
You’d never guess this is next to Adderley Street. Radisson Foreshore’s roots of Scandinavian comfort resonate throughout the space, from the rain showers and Swedish hot chocolate in the suites, to the healthy breakfast spread (you can squeeze your own orange juice). It’s the kind of hotel that's close to everything you need when visiting the city, yet utterly peaceful inside.
Though Radisson Foreshore is just a few minutes from the CTICC and major office buildings, which is ideal if you’re in the city for business, the hotel has a serene calm. The low lighting, light wood walls, and clay pottery lights create a sense of hygge (a Danish and Norwegian concept of coziness and comfort).

The rooms have rain showers and window seats that overlook the city, as well as coffee and tea facilities, a smart TV, aircon and access to a state-of-the-art gym. There are also suites with two bedrooms or connected rooms for family stays.
And if you’re in the city for business, you’ll appreciate that every room has a work desk and speedy wifi.

The breakfast spread has all the usual buffet goodies, as well as healthy options that fit Radisson’s values of Scandinavian wellness. There are several freshly-pressed apple, beetroot and green juices (even oranges you can squeeze yourself), gluten-free breads and cereals, chicken sausage, and smoked fish and salmon.

Breakfast is served inside Filini, the hotel’s eatery on the ground floor. Once breakfast is done, it transforms into an Italian restaurant. With low lighting, couches and that signature Scandinavian serenity, the mood is calm, but the menu is all Italy.
Filini has all the nostalgic pastas you know and love, like creamy carbonara and rich Neapolitan sauces. The real charm lies in the surprises, like golden, bite-sized lasagne crocchetta (yes, crispy lasagna pockets), zesty limoncello cosmos, tiramisu martinis, and more. Radisson’s peaceful buzz makes it the ideal work-and-stay destination, especially because of the library and the mezzanine level with a coworking area and boardroom. Both are ideal for quick calls or full meetings with the plush chairs, smart TVs, free wifi, and warm lighting.
The boardroom fits eight people and the coworking area 15. You can even book out Filini for bigger events; it takes up to 60.

If you're wanting to impress colleagues or clients, or looking to celebrate at the end of a successful business trip, take the lift to the 11th floor. You’ll find an elegant restaurant and bar that serves cocktails like porn star martinis and Aperol spritzes.
With its marble floors, plush maroon couches, and an elegant bar with gold finishes, ELVN11’s classy interior matches its elevated food menu. Expect plates like seared scallop with lemongrass and chilli risotto, or herb-crusted kingklip with duck fat potatoes.
