Do Your Bit to Help the Flood Victims in and around Cape Town

City's Disaster Risk Management Centre Calls for donations to help those that have been affected by the recent floods

Winter has hit Cape Town and hard. Adverse weather conditions have spelt disaster for the Cape Town’s poorest residents as their homes attempt to withstand the storms.

The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre has made an appeal for contributions to be made to help those affected by heavy rain fall and flooding in the Cape Town area.

The City of Cape Town has identified a growing need for humanitarian aid for those worst hit by the current heavy rain and low temperatures and have asked that donations be made to charitable organisations in Cape Town.

A list of disaster relief agencies can be found on the City’s website under Disaster Relief Agencies.

The City of Cape Town and these disaster relief partners have a long history of assisting the needy at such times.

Donations can be made to any of the following NGOs that are working together with the City of Cape Town and the Provincial Government of the Western Cape’s Social Development Department:
