Father’s Day at Trees Restaurant

Trees at the Townhouse Hotel & Conference Centre is offering a delicious lunch menu for Father’s Day this June

“We have put together a hearty winter menu for Father’s Day,” says executive chef, Stefan Schmidt.

Homemade chicken spring rolls, followed by either a butternut or minestrone soup tureen.  Options for the main course include slow-braised springbok with baby onions and juniper berries, roasted lamb shoulder with rosemary and garlic or West Coast hake fillet.

Those with a sweet tooth will have to choose between a brandy pudding with thick vanilla and apple beignet or a caramel sundae with sugar coated nuts and whipped cream for dessert.

Trees Restaurant overlooks a leafy avenue adjacent to the famed Dutch East India Company Gardens. Thanks to the restaurant’s location on the hotel’s first floor and its large glass windows, the experience emulates that of being in a tree house.

The 100-seater restaurant has a contemporary look and feel - with some striking red accent pieces, a few ladder-back chairs, origami-inspired lampshades and an eye-catching installation at the restaurant’s entrance.
