The idea of having a silent music event is a recently new development, and the Mother City has taken it up hard core. The peeps of Cape Town seem to love the idea of dancing in public with headphones on, and quite frankly, we can’t blame them. The number of times we go to a party and the music is a solid zero out of ten is shocking, so personalising the experience and allowing people to choose sounds (in a word) epic.

It’s now time to take that idea to the next level; going outdoors. Sure we’ve seen events in the Company’s Garden, even silent discos at trance parties, but a seaside one sounds intriguing. Head down to Clifton 3rd Beach on Saturday, 20 May 2017 for a sandy, salty and sunny disco that you won’t soon forget.
If you fancy a day at the beach with friends, why not try something similar but different with a spot of silent disco-ing? You haven’t even heard the line-up yet! The organisers have secured an international artist for the occasion - DJ Lurve. The last edition saw Billy Bueno hit the sandy stage before he headed off to frolic in the dust at AfrikaBurn, and DJ Lurve is more than able to provide just as awesome beats. The sunset silent disco beach party on Saturday, 20 May 2017 will see three genres; hip hop, funky house and reggae.
