There's nothing quite like cantering on the beach with the wind in your hair and Chapman's Peak and majestic ocean waves as your backdrop. Inspired by her daughters passion for horse riding owner of Noordhoek Village Tack Shop Roni Findlay opened her community shop 15 years ago to supply quality equestrian products at surprisingly affordable prices.

The scent of leather wafts from the store and beckons horse riding fanatics, the local community and visitors alike. Bridles hang from the ceiling, riding crops line the counter, numnuh's rest atop each other and polished new saddles straddle hooks. There are jodhpurs, boots and riding hats for all ages by brands including Colt, Equileisure, Just Togs and Hawthorns whilst a number of items are for sale in their second hand section.

The store meets your veterinary requirements with a range of vitamins, sprays, creams, food supplements and buckets whilst a range of grooming products including grooming kits and shampoos will ensure that your equestrian friend is in tip top condition to wow the judges at show jumping events. You can also purchase tack cleaning products to keep your brass, silver and leather tack looking shiny and new.

There are a number of attractive leather accessories including hats, belts and handbags and one might also encounter novelty gifts and children's toys with a creative flair. Make sure your pooch is pampered with a range of dog accessories including collars, leads and ointments.

The Noordhoek Tack Shop is actively involved with the Noordhoek Riding Association by helping to run shows and donating prizes for children.
