Bloody Harry Halloween Cocktail Recipe

This ghoulishly good mix goes down a treat

In celebration of Halloween, we’ve stirred up a cunning cocktail recipe in our bubbling, boiling cauldron of ideas.  Perfect for any All Hallow’s Eve party – or simply for any get-together with a bloody good theme – this ghastly concoction is sure to go down a treat (no tricks, we promise). 

For those still in the dark, October marks the annual return of a thrill-ing Halloween. With beginnings that hark back to an ancient, pre-Christian Celtic festival of the dead - it was believed that on this day more so than any other day of the year, the ghosts of the dead were able to mingle with the living – All Hallow’s Eve (as it’s also known) is now starting to be more recognised in Cape Town. 

Americans have piqued our curiosity through their traditions of pumpkin carving, fancy dress-ups, scary movies and trick-or-treating, and now the holiday is becoming a highlight on the South African calendar of events. 

BLOODY HARRY COCKTAIL RECIPE

Ingredients (Serves 2)

• Cream de Cassis (2 tots)
• Vodka (3 tots)
• Triple sec (1 tot)
• Fresh lemon juice (1 tot)
• Pomegranate juice (1 tot)

Method (Serves 2)

• Pour all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker (filled with ice), and shake.
• Pour the contents of the shaker into a martini glass. 
• Serve immediately.
