Bootlegger Coffee Company On the Square Concert

Celebrate the summer with a mini live music concert in the heart of the Mother City

As the weather warms up, the number of music festivals and concerts in Cape Town steadily increases, but many of them are held at remote locations far from the city. Now, you don’t have to drive for hours to enjoy a fantastic live music show. Summer socialites and seasoned concert-goers are in for a treat when the Bootlegger Coffee Company hosts a mini music festival, in association with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Fender South Africa, at the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village on Friday, 2 December 2016. On the Square will kick-off at 7pm and the live music acts will rock on until around midnight.

The exclusive line-up of artists will feature some of South Africa’s greatest guitar masters and other Fender-affiliated musicians that will have your toes tapping to their tunes. Bringing the concert to a climax, the headline act is one of our most respected blues-rock performers, Albert Frost, who will be taking to the stage just after the Jack Mantis Band and Hezron Chetty, the mad violinist, have finished entertaining the eager crowd.

While the music fills the venue with that festive party spirit, guests can socialise at not one or two, but three bars in the venue. Sip on specially crafted Jack Daniel’s prohibition cocktails that will be created specifically for this event, or if the amber ale is more to your taste then choose from a range of ice-cold Cape Brewing Co. craft beers for that thirst-quenching relief. Naturally, the bars will be stocked with other beverages too, so everyone can find something they like to sip on while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.

What concert is complete without a selection of mouth-watering food options? All the excitement and dancing is likely to make attendees hungry, so the Bootlegger Coffee Company will be selling all their firm favourites from saucy burgers and healthy wraps to sweet treats and cheesy pizzas. Fill up your stomach on wholesome food and head straight back to the stage to continue the festivities with friends and family.

What’s more, Fender will be giving away an acoustic guitar to one lucky ticket holder. All you need to do is register on the Fenderfamily.co.za website and you could be walking away from On the Square with a brand-new guitar.

Tickets to the mini festival are available online via Webtickets.co.za and will cost R120p/p for early bird tickets, R150p/p for normal entry, and R225p/p for a VIP package (that includes access to the Gentleman Jack VIP lounge, a premium view of the stage, no queues at the bar and a free Gentleman Jack, CBC beer and wine). The concert will run from 7pm to 11:30pm.
