Gather your good time gang and polish those stomping shoes because it’s once again time for the Groovy Troopers Mandala Project trance party. The intergalactic trip takes party-goers down the rabbit hole for three glorious days, from Friday, 7 to Sunday, 9 November 2014, at a mysterious, soon–to-be-announced venue.
Although the festivalground is a well-kept psychedelic secret for now, the Groovy Troopers organisers have mentioned that it’s a stunner for stompers and nestled in an awe-inspiring part of the Western Cape.
The Mandala Project stomp fiesta also boasts a stellar line-up of top local and international beat masters, including the presidents of progressive X.S.I from France and Mad Maxx from the USA, who will also be performing together as part of the duo Wild Monkeys.
Otherwise, revellers can expect to jam the days away under the shaded dance floor, where the state-of-the-art sound system will be delivering tricked-out trance; plus, those who need to rest their dancing feet can browse around at the original art installations and crafts market, take a cooling swim in the dam or replenish the body at the bar and food stalls. And since the fest is a Temporary Autonomous Zone, a space which functions on the basis of participation, everyone is encouraged to dress up in their kookiest gear and, in the spirit of “Playing it Forward”, to also bring clothes for donation to those who could really use them.
Start warming up those party muscles and get your stomping gear ready, because this shindig is set to be an entertaining one.
