September marks the start of spring, which in turn conjures up images of bright colours and beautiful musical melodies in our minds. It’s fitting then, that Artscape hosts a variety of classical music productions including Giselle and the Western Cape Youth Classical Music Festival. The festival will be held at the iconic Cape Town theatre complex on Saturday, 26 September 2015 at 7pm.
This will be the 44th edition of the festival and like those before it, will feature young singers, solo instrumentalists and classically trained young musicians. The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra will be co-hosting the festival and will give these young performers the opportunity to play alongside it on-stage.
The young performers are all full-time music students below the age of 23 years (for instrumentalists) or 27 years (for singers). Like all true performers though, they love an audience. So book a ticket and prepare for an evening of soothing symphonic sounds.
TICKETS FOR THE 2015 WESTERN CAPE YOUTH CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Tickets for festival are available via Computicket.com, and cost R80p/p. Alternatively, you can phone the Artscape Dial-A-Seat on +27 (0)21 421 7695.
