Yes, it’s official! The incredible rock n roll band, Van Coke Kartel, are putting their guitars and drum sticks down! As devastating as this is, the band has decided to bring us one more concert on Friday, 28 July 2017, at Mercury Live in Cape Town. The event, hosted by Jagermeister, will showcase not only this revered act, but also the likes of Sweet Resistance and Retro Dizzy, all in one night.
Let’s have a little look at the rewarding career Van Coke Kartel has enjoyed shall we. Firstly, they have been on the scene for a decade, producing five full length albums, winning numerous prestigious awards, touring in places like Taiwan and Europe and, of course, the coolest fact about them – the were the opening act for the incredible Metallica!

After a 16 month break, the band has decided to give their fans one final tour before they take their final bow. The final performance will feature a Kartel reunion with Jason Oosthuizen; an old drummer of the band, to complete the line-up.
Van Coke Kartel will take to the stage at 11pm, however be sure to arrive earlier to catch the deep sounds of Sweet Resistance and the epic tracks from Retro Dizzy. They’ll get your body ready to rock for Van Coke Kartel’s performance. Expect great drink prices and a great vibe at Mercury Live.
