Cape Town’s favourite free kiddies’ Easter egg hunt is back on the festive calendar for the fourth year in a row with wonderful grand prizes at stake! This year’s event is a winning one for everyone involved, from happy little ones hunting for eggs (and R10 000 in loot) to happy parents watching horses race by. The afternoon of fun in the sun falls on Saturday, 19 March commencing from 11am at the prestigious Kenilworth Racecourse.
Get caught up in the heat of the hooves as some of the country’s finest jockeys and horses thunder past. Watch top thoroughbreds fly by amid cheers from the crowd and become immersed in the elegance of the animals and the skill of their riders.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE 2016 GOLDEN EASTER EGG HUNT AT KENILWORTH RACECOURSE
EQUESTRIAN EXCELLENCE: Kenilworth Racecourse is synonymous with world-class racing and this event promises to be no exception. Expect an incredible line-up of races with plenty of thrills and thoroughbreds, along with all the glamour and excitement you would traditionally anticipate.

GOLDEN EGGS GALORE: The highly anticipated Easter egg hunt returns this year with massive prizes for the child and toddler that find the winning eggs. This year, there’ll be a Toddler Hunt for three to six year-olds at 1:45pm, with a R2000 prize for the winning wee one, and a Junior Hunt for seven to eleven year-olds at 2:20pm with an R8000 prize for the young’un that uncovers the egg. The prizes will both contribute towards the children’s education, and are kindly donated by Kenilworth Racing. Make sure you bring your kids’ birth certificates and register at the racecourse on Saturday morning between 11:30am and 1pm. (Ts & Cs apply). The prize giving and cheque handover will be at 3:35pm.

EASTER HOPPINESS FOR LITTLE BUNNIES: Aside from the egg hunt, kids can enjoy myriad other forms of entertainment, including photo-(h)ops with a giant Easter egg, face painting, jumping castles and other games and activities.
