If you love deconstructed music with chilled vibes and no filters then this will be a festival you don’t want to miss. The 10th instalment of the Cape Town Folk ‘n Acoustic Music Festival is set to sound off on Friday, 22 July and Saturday, 23 July 2016 at the Baxter Theatre Concert Hall. 18 of our country’s finest acoustic musicians will wow us, with a line-up that features a range of genres, from bluegrass and folk to indie and Cape Jazz.
The intimate festival is celebrated as an experience of amazing musical storytelling about the personal journeys of the singers and songwriters. Without the assistance of backing tracks or electronic equipment (only guitar, piano and voice will be used), the musicians are forced to focus on detail, whilst pushing their vocal limit in a display of pure performance. Raw talent and nerves of steel are needed by the artists, but you can sit back and relax to the harmonious sounds emanating from the stage.
