Will the Western Cape side kick some Kiwi behind to secure a win at home?
The Stormers have finally broken their losing streak and will be looking to maintain that victorious momentum when they face New Zealand’s Highlanders on Saturday, 3 May 2014 at Newlands Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm.
After a dismal start to the season, which has so far been plagued by many defeats and player injuries, the near bottom-of-the-log Western Cape side has finally scored a little redemption with a win over the Lions (18 – 3) at Newlands on Saturday, 19 April 2014. The long overdue victory will certainly provide a much-needed ego boost for the team, and things can only get better with Schalk Burger and Oli Kebble both being available of selection again after long stints on the bench.
On the other hand, the Kiwi side seems to have taken a slow and steady approach to the tournament with every game that they play. The Highlanders are smack in the middle of the log, and they will most certainly be looking to inch up the list with another victory.
Can the Stormers pull through with a big ‘W’? Or are they destined to see out the season at the bottom of the barrel? Fans will just have to wait and see.
