Capetonians, if you don’t already know about the first ever SA Cocktail Week that will be gracing our beloved city at the end of the month then you’ve probably been living under a rock. Taking place at various venues and hotspots around Cape Town from Friday, 28 October to Sunday, 6 November 2016, this 10-day celebration of creative concoctions and alcoholic cocktails will put a sparkle in your evenings and get you exploring the inner city haunts.
To kick off SA Cocktail Week in sleek style, guests are invited to The Grand Opening on Friday, 28 October 2016, where the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village will transform into a hive of pop-up bars with famous brands serving their unique drinks to the attendees buzzing with excitement.
Think Jim Beam bourbon-based cocktails or Wilderer Distillery gin and tonics with flair and exclusive ingredients that will dance around on your tongue. Other pop-up bars and brands that will be serving designer cocktails include Courvoisier, Mokai, Cape Town Gin Company, Woodstock Gin Company and World Class Spirit Portfolio.
So start the weekend with a classy gathering and remember to have a good time – you won’t be able to get these cocktails again once SA Cocktail Week is over! The Grand Opening will start at 7pm and wind down at 10pm.
TICKETS TO THE 2016 SA COCKTAIL WEEK: THE GRAND OPENING AT CAPE QUARTER
Tickets to SA Cocktail Week can be purchased online via Computicket.com for R190p/p. These tickets give you access to all of the limited edition cocktail creations at the participating bars, hotels and restaurants across Cape Town. Remember, that you absolutely must exchange your ticket for a wrist band at The Honey Badger on Loop Street from Monday, 17 October 2016 onwards. You can collect them from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and on Saturday from 11am to 3pm. No wrist band equals no cocktails.
Remember folks, drinking and driving is never an option. SA Cocktail Week is dedicated to drinking responsibly, and so have teamed up with Uber to generate a special code that will be valid for the entire 10-day festival. Take an Uber, forget the stress of parking and enjoy the many delicious drinks on offer. The code (SACW2016) entitles you to R150 off your first ride.
