They say it takes a village to raise a child; you’ll certainly get by with a little help from the experts at this event. The annual MamaMagic Baby Expo takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from Friday, 27 to Sunday, 29 October 2017. Professional exhibitors and top-notch specialists will be on hand to help new and eagerly expecting parents find all the essentials to keep their little ones happy and healthy.
As the biggest baby expo in South Africa, the extravaganza offers those in attendance thousands of brands, innovative products and access to experts with knowledge geared towards parenting babies and toddlers aged 0 – 5 years old. Parents can also rest easy knowing that this will be a hassle-free outing as the organisers have taken steps to ensure both parent and child are happy at all times.

There will be private breast-feeding rooms, set up by the South African Breastmilk Reserve, where mums can feed their little ones in a quiet and comfortable space. Pampers has set up nappy-changing rooms with facilities that are quick and easy to use. The Huggies Experts Lounge will see experts and professionals answer any baby questions that parents might need an answer to. Consult them on anything from tips for teething to formalising a sleeping pattern.
Once again, everyone’s favourite purple dinosaur will be back! Barney will take to the stage to perform his major hit “I love you,”, as kiddies sing along and enjoy the T-rex’s quirky character. The daily shows will take place at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. Entry to the stage shows is free but a separate ticket is still needed, so parents can state which performance they would like to attend when purchasing tickets.

For everyone’s comfort, no prams will be allowed in the stage area for Barney’s performances, but Baby City has set up a pram park. This is a secure area where you can park your pram according to a numbering system, so that the supervisors and security team can keep an eye on them and ensure the prams are returned to the correct owners.
