Plus markets, fun runs and youth-led conversations (June 16)
The race is on to claim every last free ticket for this year’s Converse live music block party “Let’s Take it Outside”. The shoe gurus initially invited 3500 lucky first come, first servers to kick it for free in the nippy night air at the Founders Gardens, just behind Artscape Theatre, on 20 April 2012; but now, rumour has it that more free tickets will be released.
With three stages and musical acts from a number of genres, including the likes of Desmond & the Tutus and Rebel Clef, the outdoor night party may just be the tune-bassadors greatest triumph in South Africa yet. Whether you are looking for Kwaito, Indie or Drum & Bass, there’s bound to be a reason to get the lace-ups stomping and swaying.
