30 years of democracy, 10 ways to celebrate
“Ritual union’s got me in trouble again.” Catchy lyrics, an inimitable lead singer and instantly recognisable electro beats are the hallmark of Swedish outfit Little Dragon who have decided to return to Cape Town to delight local audiences on Friday, 16 October 2015.
The four piece band has been to South Africa before and gave fans an amazing show in 2012 when they first touched down in our city. The musos have since become fans of South Africa (not mention Cape Town) and will be back with brand new material in the form of their 2014 album Nabuma Rubberband.
For those not quite clued up, the band was formed in 1996, gigging around the indie scene and released their first full-length album in 2007 aptly named Little Dragon, while they achieved monumental success with their 2011 album Ritual Union, which spawned hits like ‘Little Man’, ‘Ritual Union’ and ‘Shuffle A Dream’. Since then, the outfit have toured the globe and nabbed a Grammy Award nomination for 2015.
The venue has yet to be confirmed so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for more information.
