Groote Schuur Family Fun Day at Ratanga Junction

Are you ready to scream, shout and twist about in order to help the young Groote Schuur majorette team achieve their dream?

What could be better than spending the day screaming your head off while flying through the sky on a selection of South Africa’s scariest, most thrilling rides? Doing it in aid of a good cause, of course! The young Groote Schuur Primary School majorette team are having a super-cool fundraising event in order to raise money to compete in the Nationals Championship in Bloemfontein. You can help by heading to the ‘wildest place in Africa’ on Saturday, 25 April 2015.

With great family fun for everyone, Ratanga Junction is known for its scintillating assortment of adrenaline-inducing rides. Are you brave enough to face the Cobra – the famous ride that sends shivers down even the most hard-core ride junkies’ spine? Or perhaps you’re more of a Monkey Falls fan and you like steep drops and stomach flops? Alternatively, rock the boat on the Congo Queen or get flung through the air by the super Slingshot.

Aside from all the extra-thrill rides there’s also a lovely range of kiddies’ rides and entertainment options, from the rat and cat bumper cars, to crocodile swamp, the vortex, pump cars and the barrel roll. If your little one isn’t into rides then never fear, there’s still the Snake Park, Legoland display, Beatbox Karaoke Studio, Martin Odd’s Birds of Africa Show, and many other exciting acts to keep them occupied.

The Groote Schuur Primary School majorette team were the Western Province champions last year and they’re looking to retain their title in 2015. By purchasing a ticket for a day of fun at Ratanga, you’re helping to sponsor their dream by allowing them to dance and twirl at National level. Why not gather the clans and head out for a day of screams, laughter and spine-tingling action?
