The enchanting music of Mozart has captivated audiences for centuries and pianists around the world have been given the honour of performing his work. Howard Shelley will be the next to take on this admirable task at the Friends of Orchestral Music Gala on Thursday, 3 November 2016 at Cape Town City Hall.
Pianist and conductor Howard Shelley has become one of the most loved classical musicians of the modern era. The British pianist learned his craft at the Royal College of Music and has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and an assortment of orchestras in Asia, Europe and Australia.
Howard will be performing Symphony No. 35 in D Major “Haffner” K. 385, Piano Concerto No. 18 in B-flat K. 456 and Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 46 at this solo concert in association with the Friends of Orchestral Music, a non-profit organisation that helps to raise funds for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and other classical music artists in Cape Town.

Tickets to the concert are available from Computicket.com and are priced between R200 – R500p/p depending on seating. Doors open at 7pm.
