Flowers in spring, whales in summer and wildlife all year
Pick n Pay presents the 8th annual Wavescape Film Festival running from the Friday 15th - 19th December. The festival start at Clifton fourth, then the Brass Bell Pub in Kalk Bay and then the Labia theatre.
The 2011 edition of the festival, presented by Pick 'n Pay, mixes the world’s most exciting surf films with a smattering of extreme adventure and environmental content, while Zapiro is part of a unique group of top South African artists and photographers who have decorated boards for a unique charity auction that launches the film component of the festival at the Field Office on Thursday 8 December.
“We have a record 23 films!” said an exasperated festival director Spike "and arguably the most diverse line up of films ever seen at the festival, from big wave Bra Boys, MMA fighting, big waves, snowboarding, little waves, huge moves, wakeboarding, Max Max surfing craziness, MTB madness, wingsuit mullets doing Free BASE, and the coolest thing is a record number of South African-made projects”.
Indoor events, outdoor events, kiddie’s events to clubbing, bohemian markets to high end dining. If it’s happening in Cape Town, it’s on our site.
