The 2011 Season of Sauvignon festival in the Durbanville Wine Valley signals the start of the white wine season with a jubilant weekend long celebration, taking place on the first weekend in October. It’s the perfect opportunity to soak in the beauty of the spring countryside, friends and family and of course the regions signature style Sauvignon Blancs.
There is whole lot going down over the festival at the participating wineries, from jazz music and picnics at Altydgedacht, Goodtimes in the Vines - a music festival, Food of the World Market at D’Aria, Food Stands and Heart of Africa MTB race at De’Grendal, Wild West at De Vallei (including mechanical bull), live music and food at Diemersdal, ‘Perfectly Paired Picnics at Durbanville Hill, Elvis will rock the Quarry at Hillcrest , Rocking the Pink Paisleys at Klein Roosboom, Meerendal’s Farmer Market, four course set meals at Nitida.
Now that’s doesn’t do much justice to all the activities that are planned for the Season of Sauvignon 2011 festival so check out the website below for a full festival programme.
