A movement in a positive direction

ART is an event that cares about the environment, wants to help artists make a living from their talent, wants to give artists a platform to network and exhibit, and focuses on serving the community and giving back.

ART is a Pie in the Sky charity event combining live entertainment, art exhibits and a craft market with food and drink on sale. The aim is to give emerging artists the opportunity to display and perform their art, thus giving these artists | up-and-coming bands | performers exposure and the opportunity to network and gain free publicity.

ART are a dedicated team of artists and professionals who want to make a difference in our community, their focus is on preserving the earth for future generations, incorporating green living principles in all their ventures, promoting recycling and having a charity or social upliftment component to all their events and ventures.

ART is running a clothing/toy/book drive as part of cover charge for the event from which all proceeds will be donated to a local charity venture.

Food stalls will be open throughout the day and most of the night. Clean, drinkable water will be sold and available at all times. Restroom facilities are of high standards and there will be a continuous flow of activities to entertain guests.

The ART event is happening in association with Die Burger Kersfonds to raise funds for charity, and to donate clothes to the Durbanville Kinderhuis. Together with Tygerberg Art Centre, they plan to exhibit their students’ work and that of emerging and celebrity artists.

Price: R50 per person and (not compulsory) a bag of unwanted clothes, toys or books that will be donated to local charity.
