Booom! Baby Art Exhibition at the Youngblood Gallery

Grab your very own limited edition print from a renowned artist and help HOLAH in the process

Adriaan Landman is hosting this pre-eminent exhibition that features work from 28 of the finest local and international artists. All funds from the exhibition are raised in aid of Likhon iThemba's House of Love and Hope (HOLAH), which is a safe and loving haven for abandoned/ orphaned babies. Booom! Baby will be running from Thursday, 7 May until Friday, 29 May 2015 at the Youngblood/ Beautifull Life Gallery in Bree Street, with its opening night coinciding with the popular First Thursdays event.

Attendees can anticipate inspiring contemporary artworks that are beautifully framed and thought-provoking, in a variety of different styles. From poignant social commentaries, to witty humour and symbolism, the intentions behind the pieces are as varied as their styles, but they all have one thing in common – their proceeds will be going to HOLAH with the aim of building a second home to take in more babies in need of foster care until they find their forever families.

Funny, fantastical, detailed and dream-like; the illustrations are all mind-bendingly brilliant and reflect Landman’s efforts to source artists with varied styles. If you want to get your hands on one of the creations on offer perhaps research some of the participating artists beforehand so you can make a bee-line on the night to get the limited edition print you’re after.
