Long-time Long Street breakfast and lunch institution Rcaffe launched their Boogie Burger Bash monthly supper evenings back in June 2013 to great success, and now the eclectic little eatery is going all out once again on Saturday, 1 March 2014.
On stage for the evening? The award-winning Mzansi-born Wendy Oldfield of 80s rock group Sweatband fame. She’ll sound off alongside Mozambican singer, songwriter, and music producer Lionel Bastos. Audiences can look forward to an intimate performance featuring some of the musos’ most notable songs, including the chart-topping tunes ‘Living in the Real World’, ‘Thank You’ and many more.
Not to mention, Rcaffe’s boozy shakes (try the chocolate tequila and double chocolate ice cream concoction) and crazy cocktails, like the Lemon Slimmer or the Chi-Chi, will certainly add some early buzz to the bash.
Of course, no burger night would be complete without the signature sandwich, so save space for the beef, chicken or vegetarian burger. Everything’s made from scratch, and rumour has it the veggie patty will have even meat-eaters salivating.
And it goes without saying that, as Rcaffe normally shuts its door tight at 5pm, this is an exclusive opportunity to settle in amongst the creative décor – the interior design will hold your attention for hours – for a unique night of scrumptious grub and groovy tunes.
BOOKING INFO FOR THE BOOGIE BURGER BASH AT RCAFFE
Tickets for the evening cost R160p/p and include entertainment and a burger of your choice served with either chips or salad. Drinks are for patrons’ own account. Booking is essential and can be made by phoning +27 (0) 21 424 1124. No walk-ins will be accepted.
The evening starts at 7pm, and the band sounds off from 8pm.
