30 years of democracy, 10 ways to celebrate
Barnyard Theatre’s latest tribute show brings 60 years of top Billboard 100 hits to the stage with its rock and rolling Strictly No. 1s revue from Wednesday, 19 March to Sunday, 20 April 2014.
This exhilarating live music production features chart-topping songs from 1953 to 2013, and eager attendees can look forward to singing along and bopping in their seats to tracks by Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Pink, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE BARNYARD THEATRE’S STRICTLY NO. 1S MUSIC TRIBUTE SHOW
United States music magazine Billboard has, for decades, tracked the globe’s most popular songs and albums across a number of genres and categories on a weekly basis. And after scouring this premier publication’s music chronicles and picking some of the world’s most loved tunes, the nine-piece Barnyard cast has come together to take audiences on a journey through the ages via hits like ‘Jailhouse Rock’, ‘We Built this City’, ‘Macarena’, ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ and so much more.
For some, the show will be a stroll down memory lane, while others might find it a great chance to discover the toe-tapping pop and rock tunes that laid the foundation of the music industry; though, one thing is for sure, audience members won’t be sitting still.
Watch as the exceptionally talented cast brings songs like ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’, ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and ‘Another Brick in the Wall’ to life.
From saluting blonde bombshells like Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga to fist pumping for rock icons and legends like Bruce Springsteen (The Boss), Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and Whitney Houston, the crowd will find they have to show their excitement in some way. After all, this stellar production has a line-up of unforgettable numbers set to appeal to all music lovers.
