awareness of the Huguenots and their role in the development of
Franschhoek and South Africa, a festival has been established.
The major activities of the Huguenot Festival (29 and 30 October)
will be held at the Huguenot Monument and the Huguenot Memorial Museum,
as for instance excellent classical music concerts by the Franschhoek
Classical Music Festival.
Other activities: free entrance at the Huguenot Memorial Museum,
rose exibition, craft market at the Monument, wine tastings, live
performances, a parade, a hike in Mont Rochelle Reserve, a city walk
around Franschhoek, and much more like a Christmas Craft Market.
