Windtown Lagoon Resort in Langebaan invites couples and lovers of good food to indulge in a sumptuous two- or three-course dinner at its in-house eatery, Breeze Restaurant, this Valentine’s Day. Only a mere 1.5-hour (approximately 120 kilometres) drive from the Mother City, this windsurfing oasis along the West Coast, with its nearby white sand beaches and warm cobalt waters, offers the perfect setting for a romantic rendezvous.

Lovebirds can embark on the evening’s culinary journey with a choice of starters: Oysters from the bay, Venison Carpaccio with a fried Chilli and Coconut Sambal or the lip-smacking Ratatouille Salad with Calamari and Coriander Pesto.

Then, sweethearts must choose one of the decadent main courses: a diet-friendly dish of Grilled Ostrich Steak with a Beetroot and Feta Salad; the oh-so-tasty Miso Marinated Kingklip with Hazelnuts, Bacon and Beurre Noisette or the drool-worthy Grilled Rack of Lamb with Moroccan Spice and Couscous.

Lastly, those who opt for the three-course meal can round off the night with a selection of decadent desserts: a flavourful Coconut Pannacotta with a Rose and Mint Foam, the seductive Warm Soft-centred Chocolate Cake or the Mailbu Marinated Pineapple with a Coconut Foam.
