Tulbagh Goes Dutch ... for the fifth time!
This year, 8 & 9 April 2006, the picturesque town of Tulbagh celebrates its 5th Dutch Festival, a celebration of the town's Cape Dutch heritage.

This year, 8 & 9 April, the picturesque town of Tulbagh celebrates its 5th Dutch Festival, a celebration of the town's Cape Dutch heritage.

Enjoyed by local and overseas visitors alike, the whole town turns out to participate in this unique event against the backdrop of historic Church Street - where every single house is a national monument in vernacular Cape Dutch style.

An appealing program - both period and modern
- has been arranged to entertain and amuse.

You can admire those locals decked
out in traditional Dutch garb. Partake of the Breughaliaanse fees on the Saturday and a Dutch street breakfast on Sunday morning; watch performing artists and entertainers of all kinds; sample or learn to prepare traditional Dutch and Cape-Dutch cuisine.

Besides these sensory delights,
there are many other games and events to participate in or watch - and of course children are more than adequately catered for.

Do yourself and Tulbagh a favour
- make the "Tulbagh goes Dutch" festival your excuse for a pleasurable foray into the hinterland for a "gezellig weekend"
