Director Brett Bailey restages Macbeth as a one act opera, setting his protagonists in modern day Africa. The narrative follows a general and his ambitious wife as they murder their King and unleash atrocities on the crumbling state they inherit.

Bailey's daring vision, combined with Verdi's sublime music, promises an explosive performance. Music adapted by Peter Louis van Dijk.
