PRO-X Cape Town: It isn't always pretty, but it's pretty much always awesome

The Pro-X annual live extreme action sporting event is taking place again in the first quarter of 2009, and will see the biggest names in FMX, Skateboarding, BMX, MTB and Wakeboarding gracing Cape Town with their presence.

These top riders will go head to head for SA's biggest extreme challenge and the glory of first place. Big prizes and mega cash are up for grabs for both competitors and spectators in this two-day summer festival. Who will rise to the top of this prestigious event?

The PRO-X event will be hosted at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town from the 7 February to 8 February 2009. A selection of SA's hottest bands will entertain the crowd and athletes, while they push the bar higher and higher.

Killer air, awesome tricks and live bands will make PRO-X 2009 one of summer’s premiere events in Cape Town.

The Pro-X event has aligned itself with the Waterfront to bring Cape Town the best in alternative sports, top local bands and expos that will blow your mind.

The Pro-X is the first of its kind in South Africa. Based on the internationally acclaimed X-Games, the Pro-X is an event that will provide a platform for South African alternative sport athletes to show what they have when it comes some of the most daring extreme sports.

The Pro-X will give the athletes the chance to perform in front of a huge crowd and stand the chance to win the Pro-X gold.

The expo side of the event will feature top sporting brands, clothing brands, and other crazy gimmicks that will keep you entertained and amused for the weekend.
