24 November 2007

Cape Town’s De Waterkant Village will be celebrating the official opening of Friendly Society and Salsa in Cape Town's trendy Cape Quarter of De Waterkant Village on Saturday 24 November 2007.
(Note: invite only party)
The new double volume establishment situated in 125a Waterkant Street comprises of an upstairs 80-seater restaurant Salsa and a trendy sport and vibe bar, Friendly Society downstairs.
The overall nightlife ambiance mixes flavours, aromas, colours, textures, forms and sounds of both European and Latin cultures to create the ultimate "Mestizo" experience.
The new Salsa restaurant and Friendly Society bar might just bring classic elegance to fun seekers and sporting enthusiasts with a more discerning taste, magnificently decorated into a space that honours the old through the use of reclaimed rich Teak wood interiors, whilst working in harmony with new modern touches.
Opening for lunch and dinners, Salsa will be serving contemporary tavern bistro cuisine with Latin accents.
Friendly Society operates as a vibe cocktail bar; clad with plasma screens to catch popular sporting matches.
Exotic cocktails and a wide variety of speciality Tequila from locally produced Agave to Mexico's finest, Don Julio is close on hand to liven up any celebration.
The evening's entertainment at the opening of the new Salsa Restaurant and Friendly Society bar in De Waterkant will be provided by the sexy trio of singers called THREE'S COMPANY, whom comprise of sultry vocalist, Lu Chase, Chad Saaiman and Lloyd Jansen.
The repertoire they present is varied - about 45 songs make up the trio's song list, of which they will perform about 30 in one evening, in two sets.
The trio's varied repertoire tackles jazz standards and swing favourites, medleys, Motown and popular musicals that span the 70's, 80's, 90's.
