31 Dec 2006 - 1 Jan 2007

In conjunction with Cape Town clubs Chrome and Cafe Miam Miam, permission has been obtained from the city council to close Pepper Street for the only New Year's Eve celebration worth going to this year - featuring DJ Fresh, Roger Goode, Nicole Fox, Goldfish live on stage and much more (see full line-up further down).
Apart from the celebrations inside the clubs and outside, 5FM will also be broadcasting all the party action live from the venue until 1am on New Year's Day.
SA's first millionaire for 2007 will be announced at midnight! The finalists from each of the regional parties (3 in total) will be competing at this New Year's Eve party for millionaire-status; Cape Town's regional party took place this past weekend, with Johannesburg and Durban coming up this Friday (15 December) and next Saturday (23 December) respectively.
On New Year's Eve, the 3 finalists will be required to go through various exciting and quite intense challenges at the party to select the one that really needs 5 to make a million. Apart from gold briefcases guarded by Barman Larry, tricky locks, gold coins and mystery envelopes - the 2 top finalists will also be required to go on helicopter trips across Cape Town to locate the ultimate clues for winning R999 995.

Molo Says: "The following New Year celebrations in Cape Town are only the tip of the New Year's iceberg in the Mother City: Welcome 2007 at the New Year's Party at Opium in Cape Town's De Waterkant, or the La Vie en Rose themed New Year's Eve bash at Club Roosevelt in Cape Town's Inner City.
"Further more New Year's Eve in Cape Town is celebrated at the V&A Waterfront and a special event is taking place on New Year's Eve at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
"Camp's Bay's sassy and sizzling Ignite will also be hosting a party to hail the new year, featuring fantastic DJ's to get you dancing into 2007. As stated: just tip of the iceberg."
"Feel free to submit recommendations, and subscribe to our free and popular newsletter."
