Community Chest one of the greats annual family events in the Southern Suburbs not to miss
Who could resist days filled with all kinds of fun activities and great food at the Maynardville Community Chest Carnival. The 2008 Carnival is the 57th annual Carnival and promises to be the biggest and best yet, with plenty of family entertainment, live music and themed jazz evenings. An array of stalls will be selling everything from funky clothes to candyfloss and a smorgasbord of lekker local treats and tasty international cuisine from as far afield as Austria, India, Holland and Italy. All proceeds of the Maynardville Carnival go to the Community Chest, which supports over 500 social welfare organisations throughout the Western Cape.
