Johnny Cooper and his orchestra have been appointed by Glenn Miller Productions Inc. USA as the official Glenn Miller Orchestra here in South Africa.

Recognized Internationally as one of the finest copyists of the Glenn Miller sound, the Johnny Cooper Orchestra have become a household name in South Africa as they perform to packed houses throughout the country.

Consisting of 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxes, piano, double bass, drums and vocals, the orchestra replicates the 1938 civilian orchestra of Glenn Miller. The visual appeal of the Big Band is pushed to the hit with waving trombones and shining trumpets moving in well drilled unison to drive home the riffs of all your Miller favorites.

Formed in 1993, the Johnny Cooper Orchestra has performed at just about every major event and venue through South Africa.

The orchestra has just received an award from the Board of Trustees of the ‘Big Band Hall Of Fame’, Palm Beach, Florida naming us as ‘Ambassadors of Big Band Music’. They are of course very proud of this recognition and honour.
